To begin searching for roommates, sign up here.

I signed up, now what do I do?

After you've completed signing up, you can use the search tool or "my matches" to locate potential roommates.

I no longer need a roommate - How do I delete my account?

From the "My Account" Menu, there is an option to Deactivate your account. Your account will be hidden from other users and will be tagged for deletion.

Can other members read the messages I am sending them?

All members who are currently subscribed have the capability of reading mail. In the event that you are a subscriber and send mail to an unsubscribing member, they can still message you with their contact info.

Technical Issues

I received an email stating that I have messages on Roommatenation, but I get directed to the signup page instead.

To access your mailbox, you must complete your profile. Simply fill out the questionnaire that you're directed to.

I am having trouble signing up!

Make sure your browser has cookies enabled. Cookies are used strictly for navigation purposes.

I am having trouble selecting my city from the signup page!

Enter your area code, zip code, or city name. Press the search key. A list of cities should pop up. At this point, when you double-click on a city, it will appear in the box on the far right (selected cities). Click "Save". Also, make sure your web browser supports javascript.

A page broke down while trying to use the site.

Try refreshing the page. Make sure cookies are enabled in your web browser.

Can I subscribe via snail mail?

Sorry, we only accept subscriptions via credit card or online check.

I was contacted by a suspicious member and I suspect they might a con artist.

Please be careful - Scammers are all over the internet. As a general rule, don't accept payment from anyone that you haven't met. A common scam involves someone (usually from Africa or Nigeria) that offers to send you a (fake) check or money order. They ask you to send them back the difference in dollars.
